Word of Wisdom;
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. John 10:9-11 KJV
Glory to God! God’s Word tells us that God is like a Shepherd who takes care of us. He protects us from harm and ensures we are nourished and refreshed. In John 10:11, Jesus says that he’s the Good Shepherd, and we’re His sheep. This means that Jesus provides the right path that we should walk, spiritual protection, and guidance through prayer. When we spend time with Jesus, part of his job is to refresh us.
But in order to do that, we have to follow him into quiet spaces. We have to leave the world's noise, distractions, and notifications behind us. We don’t have to hurry in our time with him. When we learn to quiet our souls by removing distractions, we can begin to enjoy simply being with Jesus. When we learn to enjoy Jesus, then he will refresh our souls that are parched and weary without Him. Let’s take time daily to read the Word of God, listen to and sing praises to our Lord and Savior, and worship him for who he is.
God, know us and know what we’re facing, and what we’ve already overcome. As we draw near to him each day, he will show us glimpses of his faithfulness in each season. He will RESTORE our hope and our joy, and teach us how to fully place our trust in him and his ways. Thank you, Jesus, for salvation, protection, provision, healing, and deliverance - HALLELUJAH!
We’re reading Proverbs 27 and John 10. God bless and have a GLORIOUS day!
